MARBLEHEAD, Mass. (10/30/24) – The Nichols College men's golf team wrapped up their 2024 Conference of New England Championship on Wednesday afternoon at the par-72 Tedesco Country Club. Following the final day of competition, the Bison earned a seventh-place finish out of nine teams, turning in a two-round score of 645 (+85).
Roger Williams University won the 2024 Championship title, edging out runner-up finisher Endicott College by one stroke with a 598 (+38). The Bison, with their seventh-place finish, landed ahead of Wentworth Institute of Technology (+91) and University of New England (+114) in the team leaderboard.
Graduate student
Luke Sargent paced the Bison lineup by jumping up nine places in the individual standings, finishing tied for 18
th behind a two-round score of 157 (+17). He recorded one birdie in each of the rounds and improved his score by seven strokes on the second day. Next up was sophomore
Tyler Pearson, who turned in a 161 (+21) to tie for 29
th on Wednesday. Pearson birdied twice in the opening round, and then once on day two for a team-high three throughout the tournament.

nd with a tournament total of 163 (+23), which also featured a team-high three birdies across the two rounds. Classmate
Kyle Richman carded a 167 (+27) to finish tied for 36
th, while
Cameron Desante closed it out Wednesday in a two-way tie for 39
th with a 168 (+28).
The 2024 fall campaign comes to a close for the Bison, who will return to action in the Spring of 2025. An official schedule, including tournament locations and times, will be released at a later date.
