Sarah King scored off a rebound to seal the 1-0 overtime victory for the Bison, as their season came to a close.
King scored her first goal of the season and her second in her collegiate career, to grab the 1-0 Bison win. Senior
Callie Worthington tallied an assist on the goal in her final game with the Bison. Classmate
Sophia Venable posted a three save shut-out in her final game in between the pipes.
After 60 minutes of action that saw Nichols out shoot UMaine Farmington 27-5, the Bison dominated the extra period and with 5:24 remaining in the first overtime frame, Nichols was awarded a penalty corner and Worthington tried a stuff in chance off a shot from the top of thr arch and King cashed in on the loose ball and finished it off for a 1-0 Bison win.
The 1-0 overtime win ends the Bison's 2024 campaigh on a high note.
