BREWSTER, Mass. (10/20/24) – Behind matching rounds of 315 (+27), the Nichols College men's golf team maintained a 10
th place finish with a 630 (+54) performance at 89
th annual NEIGA Championship. The historic 36-hole event was held at the Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Massachusetts.
The Bison were one of 22 competing teams this weekend, with in-conference opponent Endicott College claiming the team medal at seven-under par (569). Bates College placed runner-up at 606 (+30).
Graduate
Luke Sargent paced the Bison, carding a 154 (+10) to tie for 23
rd overall. Sophomore
Cameron Desante followed close behind at 155 (+11), which landed him in a massive eight-way tie for 27
th individually. Sophomore
Nick White stood out in his Nichols debut finishing tied for 53
rd with a combined score of 161 (+17), scoring a team-high eight birdies through the two rounds.

Tyler Pearson placed tied for 58
th with a 162 (+18), while senior
Evan Libby shaved off five strokes in his respective second round to card a 165 (+21) in his first tournament appearance this fall, placing him in a tie for 69
th.
Nichols concludes their regular season next week with the Conference of New England Championship on October 29-30, hosted by Gordon College at Tedesco Country Club in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
