NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Nichols women's tennis team opened their fall 2023 campaign in commanding fashion at the Colby-Sawyer Invitational on Sunday, September 3 at the Kelsey Courts.
The Bison came out storming in doubles play, topping all their opponents coming out 8-0 after the completion of the matches. The undefeated doubles pairs were the Nichols tandems of
Charis Vogler/Antonia Carrero, team captains
Kelley Carlin/Jordan Knowles, Sophia Leonardi/Cora Brosch and
Camila Magrin/Johanna Schroeder.
After the commending doubles performance Nichols dominance continued into the singles matches, with Carrero picking up a win at number one singles, and Vogler, Schroeder, Leonardi, Brosch, Carlin and Knowles also picking up wins in their matches. This Bison finished the jamboree with a 23-1 record on the day.

Ron Gendron shared his thoughts on the day: "Very solid day 23-1 looks and sounds great, it's a long season and we have a lot of work to do. That being said today was a wonderful way to start. Go books, go bison!"
The Bison will head back onto the road to New Hampshire for their next match, as they are set to face Saint Anselm at the Saint Anselm Tennis Courts in Manchester next Saturday September 9
th at 12pm.
