CCC Bracket
BEVERLY, Mass. – The Nichols men's lacrosse team dropped an 18-3 decision in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Semifinals to the No. 1 seeded Endicott on Wednesday evening at Hempstead Stadium.
After Endicott got out to a double-digit lead,
Hunter Ferreira got Nichols on the scoreboard with 1:49 left in the first half. In the second half,
Cian Keohane and
Dylan DeRubeis scored back-to-back to cut the deficit to 12-3. That would be all the offense the Bison could muster in the setback.
Brady Morgan stopped 25 shots in the loss, marking the most saves made in a game in his first two seasons.
Both Nick Graap and Domenic Russo scored four goals apiece as the Gulls used 10 separate goal-scorers in the victory.
The Bison, after earning the fifth seed in the CCC tournament following a 4-4 league ledger, sees its season come to a close after earning an 11-7 overall record and its second-consecutive trip to the conference semifinals. The Gulls (13-4) advance to Saturday's CCC title game where they look to bring home the program's 11th championship.
