SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Nichols women's lacrosse team concluded their regular season on Wednesday evening, dropping a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contest to Western New England by the score of 21-3. With the result, the Bison fall to 10-6 (2-6 CCC), while the Golden Bears improve to 12-5 (6-2 CCC).
 
Western New England scored the first seven goals of the afternoon before Rebecca Taylor found the back of the net with the assist from Mackenzie Doran for the Bison to make it 9-1. The Golden Bears would find the back of the net one more time to close out the half with a nine-goal advantage.
 
The Golden Bears added five more goals early in the second half before Emma Patton slung one in between the pipes to give the Bison their second goal of the night. Western New England would tack on another six goals before Sarah King would close out Nichols' scoring efforts with a goal of her own. 
 
The team will await the final scores from around the conference as the potential playoff seeding is calculated.
