DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols men's volleyball team downed Lesley in straight sets on Sunday afternoon at the Nichols Athletic Center to advance to 18-5 (5-0 NECC), breaking the fifth-year program's record for most wins in a single season. The Bison downed the Lynx by set scores of 25-2, 25-0, 25-3 in the contest.
The Bison hit .762 in the match, led by
Adam Bender and
Sachio Kekati who each put on nearly perfect offensive performances, providing eight kills on eight attacks and four kills on four attacks, respectively.
Conor McCabe tallied 10 kills on 12 errorless swings to hit. 883, while
Nick Martin's .889 clip was thanks to eight kills on nine swings without blemish.
Nick Basco dished out 26 assists on the outing, while the Bison racked up 34 total kills.
Jack Callahan was impressive from the service line, producing 11 aces with 0 errors. Kekati (eight) and Basco (six) helped Nichols reach 28 aces in the match.
Nichols remains on home court on Tuesday, March 28 in a non-conference matchup with Wentworth, where the program will honor its three members of the senior class in their final home match of the regular season.
