Women’s Lacrosse Continues Perfect Start, Downs Warner, 19-4

LAKE WALES, Fla. – Nichols women's lacrosse continued its dominating start to its season with a 19-4 triumph over Warner in the team's lone spring break game on Friday evening. With the win, the Bison advanced to a team-best 4-0 start, while the Royals are still without a win through their first seven contests.
 
Nichols jumped out to a commanding 7-2 lead after the first quarter, with Mackenzie Doran netting a hat trick in the opening 15 minutes of play. The Bison held the Royals scoreless in the second quarter while tacking on another five goals to lead 12-2 at the half. Nichols goalkeeper Keri Tremblay made two saves in the opening half.
 
The Bison would go on to outscore their opponents 7-2 in the final 30 minutes to cap off a commanding 19-4 victory.
 
Doran (4 goals, 1 assist) and Hadley Houghton (5 goals) each paced the Bison offense with five points apiece. Emma Patton also scored a hat trick, followed behind by Paige Alexander (1 goal, 1 assist) and Ali Vozzo (2 goals), who each scored two points.
 
Nichols scooped 13 ground balls and controlled 14 of the 25 draws in the decision.
 
Nichols returns north to take on Mass. Maritime in a Tuesday night road matchup against the Buccaneers with the opening draw to begin at 7:00 p.m. from Clean Harbors Stadium.
