BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Nichols men's tennis continued its Division I spring break trip in a matchup with Villanova on Tuesday night at the Bryn Mawr Racquet Club, with the Wildcats coming out victorious by a score of 7-0. With the loss, the Bison dropped to 2-6 on the season, while Villanova improved to 4-8.
The Bison were swept in doubles play, giving the hosts the first team point, before the two sides transitioned to singles action. On the third court,
Yannick De Vet kept it close, losing by a 6-2, 7-5 score. That was as close as Nichols would get in the setback, however, as Villanova came away with all seven points.
The Bison will finish off their trip down south in a Thursday afternoon showdown with another Division I program in Mount St. Mary's (MD) with first-serve from the Mount St. Mary's Tennis Courts set for 12:30 p.m.
