DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols men's lacrosse team picked up its second win of the season on Wednesday afternoon with a 14-8 non-conference victory over Emmanuel (MA). The Bison advance to 2-1 on the season while the Saints fall to 0-2.
 
Graduate student Cian Keohane came out of the locker room on fire for the Bison, scoring all five Nichols goals in the first quarter. Nichols opened the second with three more goals, two from Hunter Ferreira and one from Jack Ellis to take an 8-0 lead. Emmanuel finally got on the board with 7:48 remaining in the half but the Bison kept rolling, scoring the next three goals before an Emmanuel goal made it 11-2 at the half.
 
The Saints cut the Bison lead to seven after two quick goals in the third quarter, but Nichols answered back with three goals of their own to make it 14-4. Emmanuel netted the last four goals of the game late in the fourth quarter, but it was too little too late as the Bison came away with the win.
 
Keohane led the way with five goals and one assist for the Bison. Ferreira added four goals to his season total while Colby Gillis, Ryan Warner, Jack Ellis, CJ Cadigan, and Blake Covell all found the back of the net for Nichols.
 
Next up for the Bison is a home matchup against St. Joseph (CT) on Friday, March 3 at 4:00 p.m. from Vendetti Field.
