CANTON, Mass. (12/9/23) – The Nichols College women's hockey team wrapped up the 2023 calendar season with a 4-0 loss to Curry College on Saturday afternoon from the Canton Ice House in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play.

McKenzie Muir earned the start in net for the Bison. She stopped 24 of the 28 Colonels' shots in the loss for Nichols. The Colonels opened the scoring less then four minutes into the game as they rolled to a 4-0 win.
The Colonels added a second goal with 11 seconds remaining in the first period, before adding a pair of the goals in the second period. Nichols found themselves with a major penalty for a hit to the head and a five-minute power-play. Nichols was unable to capitalize on the player advantage.
The Bison controlled the shots on goal with a 29-28. Nichols went 2-4 on the penalty kill and 0-3 on the power-play in the effort.
Nichols will enter the break and play their next game in 2024 on Friday, January 5
th when they face off against Johnson and Wales University. Puck drop is set for 4 p.m. at New England Sports Village.
