Dudley, Mass. (10/18/23) - The Nichols College Men's Tennis Team opened their home season against the visiting Clark University Cougars at the Robinson Tennis Courts. The Bison charged through to a 6-3 win.
In doubles play, the Bison found wins at the number two and three positions. Enzo Matos Balleux / Kerem Subasi won 8-2 at #2 and Caio Dieckmann / Oscar Junyent won a tightly contested 8-7 match at #3.
Singles action was all Bison, as they won at positions 1, 3, 4, and 5. Yannick De Vet won in comeback fashion (3-6, 6-1, 6-3) at #1. Trevor Schwarzmann dominated (6-2, 6-2) at #3 along with a dominate showing from Matos Balleux (6-1, 6-2) at #4. Subasi rounded out the results for the Bison winning (6-2, 7-5) at #5.
The Bison sit at 2-3 through their non-tradition fall season play. Their Commonwealth Coast Conference action comes in the spring where they will being the hunt for a 13th CCC championship, schedule is to be realeased at a later date.
