BREWSTER, Mass. (10/15/23) – The Nichols College women's golf team finished in seventh place out of an eight-team field on the final day of the New England Intercollegiate Golfers Association (NEIGA) Championship with 892 (+316) team card in just its second tournament of the season.
Wellesley College, who occupied the top position after day one, claimed the victory with a team score of 604 (+28). The University of Hartford placed runner-up as a program, earning a 627 (+51) through the two rounds of play.
Sophomore Katlin Baca was the top finisher over the weekend for the Bison, placing 30
th with a 202 (+58) card following a final-round of 104 (+32). After shooting a 116 in round one, freshman
Maya Orbegozo bounced back to claim 34
th overall, improving her performance by 14 strokes (102) to card 218 (+74).
The final four participants for the Bison placed in consecutive fashion, beginning with a tie for 37
th from senior
Taylor Cornell with a 235 (+91) card. Individual participant

Alaina Plourde each tied for 39
th with 94-over 238 performances, while freshman

The NEIGA Championship, as the final scheduled tournament, marked the conclusion of the 2023 fall season for Nichols women's golf. The spring schedule will be unveiled at a later date.
