BOSTON, Mass. (10/14/23) – The Nichols College Women's Soccer had a scoreless draw with the Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup at Sweeny Field on Saturday afternoon.
 
Nichols now sits at 2-10-2 (0-5-1 CCC) the year, and Wentworth is 2-8-2 (0-5-1 CCC). The draw served as the first conference points this season for both teams.
 
The match was the first time the Bison have taken points from the Leopards since a win in the 2011 season.
 
The teams exchanged chances throughout the match, but it was the Leopards who held the 18-10 advantage in shots, with teams each having 5 shots on goal.
 
Sophomore Falyn Hunt led the way for the Bison with 4 shots (2 SOG), followed by senior captain Caroline Shields who had 2 (1 SOG).
 
In goal for the Bison, it was junior Adie Hughes who recorded 5 saves for her first 90-minute clean sheet of the season, previously recording 45-minute shutouts on two occasions this season. Her seasonal goals against is now 2.36 and a career mark of 2.30.
 
Next up for the squad is the 2023 Senior Day game when they return to action this Monday October 16^th as they are set to host Fitchburg State in their last non-conference matchup of the season. The match will be played on Vendetti Field at 7:30pm.
