BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. – The Nichols men's soccer program dominated Massachusetts Maritime Academy, winning 7-1 Thursday night at Clean Harbor Stadium.
Sophomore
William Savage wasted no time getting the Bison (4-2-0) on the board after he entered the match in the 24
th minute, finding the back of the net just five minutes later. In the next 3:30 of the contest, Savage added two more to his tally, with the second being assisted by freshman
Brady Stevenson. Savage's hat trick was the first of his career.
The Buccaneers (1-4-0) netted their only goal of the contest just under four minutes into the second half.
The two teams played even for thirty minutes before sophomore
Fernando Barranco extended the Bison lead back to three with his second goal of the season.
Nichols struck for three goals in the final 2:30 of the match, starting with junior
Ethan Gosper's first career goal at the 87:36 mark. Freshman
Brady Stevenson followed up with one of his own at 88:30 and netted his second of the night at 89:41, off a pass from freshman
John Milardo. The assist represented Milardo's first career point.
The Bison return home Friday, September 16, to open their Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) schedule when they host Suffolk University at 3:30 p.m.
