DUDLEY, MASS. – The Nichols College women's soccer program opened their 2022 campaign with a 5-1 decision over MCLA Thursday afternoon at the Nichols Soccer Field.

Sophomore Natalie Gray netted the first goal of the season for the Bison (1-0-0) just under 18 minutes into the contest off a feed by freshman Falyn Hunt. Gray recorded her second point of the afternoon just five minutes later when graduate student Maddie Clark sent her pass into the back of the net.

Senior Niah Samboy put the Bison up 3-0 three minutes into the second half off a feed from junior Grace Killman. MCLA (0-1-0) senior Sophie Elser cut the Nichols lead to 3-1 at 56:03 into the game, before Nichols graduate student Maegan Roy netted a pass from junior Jenna Condon 81 minutes in. Killman capped off the scoring in the contest just one minute later off a feed from Gray, her second assist and third point of the match.
