DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College men's volleyball team closed the 2022 regular season with a pair of 3-0 loss to Endicott College and No. 1 Springfield University Sunday afternoon at the Nichols Athletic Center.
The Bison (14-11, 5-1 NECC) and Gulls were competing for the top seed in next week's New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) playoffs, a match taken by the visitors 35-20, 25-20, 25-23. Senior
Ray Wang led the Bison with nine kills (.438 hitting pct.) while sophomore
Tanner Soracco tallied seven and junior
Jake Harasyko collected six. Junior and reigning NECC Defensive POY
Nicholas Basco picked up nine digs and sophomore
Nick Martin handed out 26 assists.
Nichols then fell to the top-ranked Pride 25-12, 25-16, 25-17. Senior
Collin Hunter threw down five kills while Haraseko added four kills and three digs. Martin handed out 13 assists.
The Bison will host an NECC Semifinal contest Thursday night at the Nichols Athletic Center. Game time and opponent are TBD.
