Ahaesy, Pelley combined for 13 points in win over AMCats

PAXTON, Mass. – Senior Sam Ahaesy scored five goals in Nichols College's 15-4 win over Anna Maria College Thursday evening in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Carposo Field.

Classmate Brooke Pelley added five assists and a pair goals while junior Mackenzie Doran notched two goals and two assists for the Bison (11-5). Senior Elizabeth Luster potted two goals and sophomore Madison Robichaud went for a goal and an assist.

Freshman McKenzie Muir compiled eight ground balls, won four draw controls, scored once, and caused eight turnovers to become the program's single-season leader in that category with 39, surpassing the previous mark of 34 set by Stephanie Tenczar during the 2007 campaign.

Nichols outshot the AMCats 29-15 and received five saves from the goaltending tandem of senior Sabrina Dembro and sophomore Keri Tremblay.
