DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College men's tennis team rallied from a 2-1 deficit after doubles play to defeat Endicott College 7-2 Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Robinson Tennis Courts.
Freshman
Giacomo Ghitti was a 5-7, 7-5, 10-7 winner at No. 1 singles for the Bison while sophomore
Trevor Schwarzmann collected a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles. Freshmen
Adrian Toderascu and
Moritz Kern were straight-sets winners at third and fourth singles, respectively, as was graduate student
Sam Kluger at No. 6 singles.
Freshman
Santiago Perez dropped the first set at No. 5 singles, 4-6, but came back to win sets two (6-3) and three (6-4) to record the victory. In doubles competition, the team of Kluger sophomore
Steven Kuang picked up an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles.
The win moves the Bison to 7-4 on the season (1-0 CCC). The Gulls move to 2-7 (0-1 CCC).
