Cian Keohane potted five goals in Nichols College's 13-5 win over the University of Saint Joseph Wednesday afternoon in non-conference men's lacrosse action at the USJ Lacrosse Field.
Sophomore
Colby Gillis picked up five apples and finished the contest with six points while freshmen
Dylan DeRubeis and
CJ Cadigan each found the back of the net twice. Senior
Scott Ehrenberg was 18-of-21 at the X and was credited with11 ground balls while sophomore
Cooper Melvin caused a team-high three turnovers.
Freshman
Brady Morgan started between the pipes for head coach
John Carroll and recorded eight saves in his first collegiate win. Sophomore
Billy Heller played the final 30 minutes and stopped three shots.
Nichols (1-3) outshot the Blue Jays 37-28 and won the ground ball battle by nearly a two-to-one ratio at 50-28.
