HILTON HEAD S.C. – The Nichols College men's tennis team moved to 4-3 on the season with a 5-2 win over Division I Lafayette College Monday afternoon at Chaplin Park Tennis Center.
Freshman
Giacomo Ghitti was a three-set winner at No. 1 singles, rallying back after dropping the first set to win3-6, 6-1, 10-8. Sophomore
Trevor Schwarzmann was a 6-3, 6-0 winner at No. 2 singles while freshman
Adrian Toderascu was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at No. 3 singles, freshman
Moritz Kern picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles, and freshman
Santiago Perez earned a 2-6, 6-3, 11-9 win at No. 5 singles.
Playing Division I doubles rules, the team of Toderascu and Kern scored a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles.
