BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The Nichols College field hockey program was one of 148 programs to receive the
National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Team Award, which recognizes programs which have earned a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester of the 2021-22 school year.
Earlier this month, eight Bison – graduate student
Liza Phillips, juniors
Erin Anthony,
Mackenzie Doran,
Abigail Karalus, and
Hailey Meader, and freshmen
Emily LeBlanc,
Sophia Venable, and
Callie Worthington – on the
NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad, which honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2021-22 academic year. Doran and Leblanc was later named an
NFHCA Division III Scholar of Distinction.
All seven Commonwealth Conference Institutions which sponsor field hockey – Endicott, Gordon, Nichols, Roger Williams, Salve Regina, UNE, and Western New England University – received the award.
