DUDLEY, Mass. – Sophomore
Tanner Soracco threw down 20 kills and posted a .485 hitting percentage in Nichols College's five-set loss to Emmanuel (MA) College Tuesday night in non-conference men's volleyball action at the Nichols Athletic Center.
After the Saints captured the first set 25-23, the Bison (5-4) ripped off wins in sets two (25-14) and three (25-18) to take a 2-1 lead. The Saints (6-5) rallied back to win the fourth set, 25-20, before closing out the match with a 15-13 triumph in the fifth and deciding set.
Soracco also collected 12 digs for NC while junior
Jake Harasyko picked up 12 kills and four digs. Sophomore
Nick Martin handed out 42 assists while freshman
Dylan Knapp registered five blocks (one solo), and both Knapp and senior
Collin Hunter racked up three service aces.
The Bison finished with a .225 hitting percentage compared to .178 for the Saints.
