CANTON, Mass. – The Nichols men's hockey team dropped a 6-3 decision on the road at Curry on Friday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play at the Canton Ice House. With the setback, the Bison fall to 4-7-0 (2-7-0 CCC) at the semester break.
 
Nichols opened the scoring with less than seven minutes to play in the first period as Mitchell Farrell found the back of the net. The Bison would double their lead just 1:18 into the second period when Nathan Carl scored on the powerplay.
 
Curry would go on to score three unanswered goals over the final 16:28 of the second to take a 3-2 lead into the second intermission.
 
Just 5:38 into the third, Luke Harvie tied it up at 3-3, but the Colonels would break the tie three minutes later and tack on two insurance goals to earn a 6-3 victory.
 
Sophomore netminder Tyler Bost recorded 45 saves in the defeat.
 
Nichols wrapped up its first semester action at Curry and will return to play after the New Year when the Bison host the Boston Landing Collegiate Invitational on the January 6 and 7 at Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton, Mass.
