WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The 6-seeded Nichols men's soccer program fell to #3 Western New England University Saturday morning in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Quarterfinal round, 2-1, at Supernant Field.

The Bison, who finished the regular season 10-6-3 with a 3-3-3 conference mark, got on the board first with a goal from freshman Brady Stevenson assisted by sophomore William Savage. Savage crossed the ball into the box, finding Stevenson, who sent the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal at the 11:27 mark of the first half.

The Golden Bears (10-6-3, 6-3-0 CCC) tied the game at the 36:46 mark, before taking the lead just six minutes later.

The Nichols goaltending tandem of sophomore Franco Barreto Santana and freshman Derek Axon combined for eight saves on the contest.
