The Bison held a nine-point first-half lead behind 14 points for Alectus and 11 from Dupree. The lead grew to as many as 12 early in the second half before the Rams cut their deficit to three with 2:05 remaining following a triple from Nate Hale. Spencer answered with a three to push the lead back to six with 54 seconds remaining, and Dupree sank a pair from the charity stripe with nine seconds remaining to seal the win.
Suffolk (8-2, 3-1 CCC) held a slim 38-37 edge on the glass and committed 17 turnovers. The Bison – who canned 17 of their 41 three-pointer attempts – finished the evening shooting 44 percent from the field.
William Rowe paced the Rams with 20 points.
