BOSTON, Mass. – The Nichols College men's volleyball team opened the season with a 3-1 loss to Emerson College Thursday night in non-conference action at Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gymnasium.

Junior Jake Harasyko and sophomore Tanner Soracco each collected 13 kills to lead the Bison while sophomore Nick Lavrenchuk notched eight. Senior Collin Hunter picked up 10 total blocks (four solo) and eight digs, junior Nicholas Basco handed out 19 assists, and Lavrenchuk finished with a team-leading nine digs.

The Lions won games one (25-22) and two (25-23) before the Bison captured the third game, 25-17. Emerson closed out the match with a 25-22 triumph in the fourth set.
