Matt Alectus netted a game-high 25 points in Nichols College's 98-86 win over Gordon College Thursday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's basketball action at the Nichols Athletic Center.

Matt Morrow registered a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, and was one of five Bison to reach double-figures in scoring. The Leicester, Mass. native was joined by seniors
Jason O'Regan (19 points) and
Jaekwon Spencer (18 points), as well as freshman
Tahmeen Dupree (14 points), who also dished out eight assists. O'Regan, meanwhile, knocked down four triples while Spencer notched eight rebounds, six steals, and a pair of blocks.
Trailing by six at the break (48-42), the Bison opened the second half on an 8-0 run to grab a 50-48 lead. Minutes later, Spencer converted a three-point play to put NC ahead for good at 53-50. The lead swelled to nine following a putback from Spencer with 7:27 on the clock and 13 on a Dupree dunk less than a minute later.
Nichols (15-2, 7-2 CCC) finished the evening shooting 46 percent from the field and outrebounded the Fighting Scots (7-10, 4-8 CCC) by a 46-35 margin. The Bison were 24-of-39 from the charity stripe compared to 4-of-8 for Gordon.
