DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College women's soccer team was defeated by Western New England 2-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Friday afternoon at Vendetti Field.

Freshman netminder Adie Hughes made nine saves for the Bison (3-4-0, 0-1-0), who were outshot 18-4 on the evening. Junior Niah Samboy had a pair of shots NC.

Prior to the match, the Bison honored former teammate Hallie Linacre, who passed away last May. A two-time Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Academic All-Conference selection, Hallie was a double major in Accounting and Finance. Along with being a standout on the pitch for the Bison, Linacre was a member of the Honor's Program at Nichols, a TA for the PDS program, involved in the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and served as a student worker in the Library. Linacre was set to be a team captain for the Bison as a senior in 2020.
