NEWPORT, R.I. – The Nichols College women's soccer team was defeated by Salve Regina University 1-0 Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Reynolds Field.

The Bison (2-3-1, 0-1-0 CCC) outshot the Seahawks 20-9 but were unable to find the back of the net. Freshman goalkeeper Adie Hughes recorded three saves for NC while senior Maddie Clark and sophomore Emma Norton each took four shots.

The Seahawks (4-4-0, 1-0-0 CCC) scored the only goal of the match at 50:23 when Hailey Dubbioso notched her first goal of the season.
