NEW LONDON, Conn. – Freshman Nathan Salamon scored his first collegiate goal late in the first half to send the Nichols College men's soccer team to a 1-0 win at Mitchell College Monday afternoon at Mitchell Stadium.

Senior Axel Areiza-Betancur set up the marker at 37:25 and moved the Bison to 2-1-0 on the season. The win also moved NC to 3-0-0 all-time against the Mariners (0-3-1).

The Bison outshot the Mariners 20-12. Freshman Miron Jusufi led all student-athletes with five shots while freshman Franco Barreto Santana stopped four shots to earn the win.
