DUDLEY, Mass. – Junior
Collin Hunter threw down 16 kills and collected nine digs in Nichols College's 3-2 loss to Elms College Friday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action at the Nichols Athletic Center.
The teams Bison build a 2-1 match lead with wins in the first (25-22) and third (25-23) sets. After tying the match at one with a 28-26 win in set two, the Blazers (3-1, 3-0 NECC) captured sets four (28-26) and five (15-12) to secure the win.
Freshman
Tanner Soracco added 11 kills, four blocks, and three digs for the Bison (1-6, 1-5 NECC), who also received eight kills from both junior
Sean Jackson and sophomore
Jake Harasyko. Sophomore
Nicholas Basco tied for the match-high with 19 digs while freshman
Nick Martin recorded 20 assists and 13 digs.
Jeremy Torres led all student-athletes with 36 kills (.347 hitting pct.) for the Blazers.
