Colleen Callahan, each hit a home run as the Nichols College softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from Curry College Wednesday afternoon at D. Forbes Will Field.
Game One: Bison 6, Colonels 2
Callahan and Commesso belted two-run home runs and junior
Mackenzie Bourgault and freshman and reigning Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week
Hailey Bogusz each recorded an RBI double. Junior
Candice Nelson improved to 7-4 as she held the Colonels to three hits and one earned run with six strikeouts over seven innings.
Game Two: Bison 11, Colonels 7
Rodi had two hits and drove in four with a grand slam in the fourth while fellow graduate student
Taylor McIntosh had three hits. Callahan went 3-for-3 with two RBI, graduate student
Amanda Alioto had an RBI single and drew a bases-loaded walk, and Bourgault and sophomore
Allie Brown each had two hits as the Bison (15-7) stretched their win streak to five. Sophomore
Alyssa Ouellette notched her eighth win of the season, striking out four over six innings.
