DUDLEY, Mass. – Senior Colleen Callahan belted a walk-off grand slam in the opener and went 4-for-4 in the nightcap to lift the Nichols College softball team to a pair of wins over Roger Williams University Tuesday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) softball action at the Nichols Softball Field.

Game One – Bison 11, Hawks 7

Callahan went 2-for-5 with five RBI and sophomore Allie Brown belted a solo home run and scored three times as the Bison took the opener in dramatic fashion. Freshman Hailey Bogusz recorded a pair of RBI singles and finished 3-for-3 with three RBI to back sophomore starter Alyssa Ouellette, who picked up her third win of the season. She surrendered 10 hits and seven runs over seven to go with three strikeouts. She did not walk a batter.

Game Two – Bison 5, Hawks 3

Freshman Jayda Cesar smacked a two-run double in the fourth and Brown plated another run with an infield single for the Bison (6-4, 3-1 CCC). Junior Candice Nelson allowed five hits and three runs over seven to even her record at 2-2. She walked a pair and struck out five.
