LEICESTER, Mass. – The Nichols College softball team split its doubleheader with Becker College Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at Russell Field. The Bison won game one, 3-2, before dropping the backend in extra innings, 6-5.
Game One: Bison 3, Hawks 2

Hailey Bogusz each recorded an RBI double and sophomore
Allie Brown scampered home on an error to propel the Bison to their third-straight win. Kostek and Brown each finished with two hits to back junior hurler
Candice Nelson, who scattered seven hits over seven to earn the win. She allowed two earned runs and struck out five to move to 2-1 on the season.
Game Two: Hawks 6, Bison 5 (8 inn.)
Graduate student
Taylor Commesso belted a three-run home run in the first and drove in four runs for NC. Kostek also knocked one out of the park in support of sophomore
Alyssa Ouellette, who surrendered eight hits and four runs with three walks and two strikeouts over six innings in the circle.
