NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Nichols College baseball team swept a Sunday evening doubleheader from Castleton University in non-conference action at the New England Baseball Complex.

Christian Naccari each hit solo home runs and freshman
Brennan Hyde drove in a pair of runs with a double in the third. That was more than enough run support for graduate student
Jack Dicenso, who tossed six innings of three-hit shutout ball to earn the win. He walked a pair and fanned 10 for his first win of 2021.
Game Two: Bison 2, Spartans 1 (9 inn.)
Bouchard forced extra innings with an RBI sac fly in the seventh and later drew a bases-loaded walk in the ninth as the Bison walked-off with a doubleheader sweep. Junior
DJ Caron had a pair of hits for NC, which received seven strikeouts in 3.1 innings of work from junior starter
Brendan Duffy. Junior
Isaac Blanford came on to pitch the ninth and struck out two to pick up the win.
