NORTON, Mass. – Sophomore Summer Klein scored a team-high 18 points in Nichols College's 90-63 loss to Maine Maritime Academy Saturday night in non-conference women's basketball action at the Wheaton (MA) Tip-Off Classic.

Klein also pulled down 13 rebounds for the Bison (0-1), who shot 23 percent from the field and were outrebounded 65-44 o the evening. Junior Toni Geisel netted 14 points in 17 minutes of action while classmate Leandra Ortiz finished with 13 points, three boards, and two steals.

The Mariners knocked down 47 percent of their shots and were led by Kali Barber with a game-high 20 points.
