Game Recap: Men's Ice Hockey |

Bison rally twice but fall to Seahawks, 4-3

HARRISVILLE, R.I. – Sophomore Max Newnam scored his second goal of the season in Nichols College's 4-3 loss to Salve Regina University Saturday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's ice hockey action at Levy Rink.

Senior Petr Miko and junior Conor Leonard also scored for the Bison (1-3-1, 0-3-0 CCC), who were outshot 29-21 on the evening. Junior Korbinian Lutz recorded 25 saves as Nichols went 0-for-5 with the man advantage and also killed off a five-minute major in the third period.

Sophomore Philip Bjorkman collected his team-leading fourth assist for the Bison on Leonard's first goal of the season. Freshman Luke Harvie collected his first collegiate point - an assist - on Newnam's marker.

Senior captain George Sennott scored twice for the Seahawks (2-2-0, 2-1-0 CCC), including the game-winning goal midway through the third period.
