DUDLEY, Mass. – The Nichols College women's volleyball team closed the 2021 campaign with a 3-0 loss to the University of New England Friday night in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Nichols Athletic Center.

The Bison (5-12, 1-8 CCC) – who were seeking their first-ever appearance in the CCC playoffs – fell in three sets to the Nor'easters (25-19, 25-18, 25-21). Senior Jayleen Fegan collected a double-double on senior night wit 12 kills and 11 digs while classmate Regan Richard and freshman Ryley Plourde each notched eight. Senior Lindsey Rugg handed out 16 assists and sophomore Liz Diorio racked up 18 digs.

Prior to the start of the match, Nichols honored their seven seniors – Fegan, Richard, Rugg, Sophie Czerepica, Rachael Veilleux, Emily Tinyszin, and Jenna Savoie.
