Senior Miranda Smith scored a pair of goals in Nichols College's 17-4 loss to Emerson College Wednesday afternoon in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Vendetti Field.
 
Freshman Mackenzie Doran scored her first collegiate goal for the Bison (0-2), who were outshot 37-17 on the afternoon. Freshman Madison Robichaud paced the Bison with three draw controls.
 
Senior Jenna Tomsky scored a game-high six goals for the Lions (2-1) while junior Kelli Mark netted three.

            -Today's contest was the inaugural meeting between Nichols College and Emerson College. The Lions lead the series, 1-0.
            -Sophomore Sam Ahaesy collected a team-high four ground balls for the Bison.
            -The Bison committed 28 turnovers – including 17 in the first half.
