Recap
Sophomore Justin Perron scored a pair of goals in Nichols College's 3-3 tie with No. 6 University of New England Friday evening in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's ice hockey action at Levy Rink.

Freshman Hunter Fraser also scored for the Bison (7-11-2, 4-7-1 CCC), who have now earned at least one point in eight-straight contests (6-0-2). Sophomore Brett Epp made 39 saves in his best outing of the season – including all four shots he saw in overtime.

Senior Ryan Bloom struck for a pair of goals for the Nor'easters (14-3-3, 10-1-2 CCC) as they outshot the Bison 43-29 on the evening. UNE entered the contest averaging 5.05 goals/game while allowing just under two (1.95 goals against average). Junior netminder Ben Churchfield turned aside 26 of the 29 shots he faced.
 
Three things you need to know...
            -Tonight's contest marked the 10th all-time meeting between Nichols College and the University of New England. The series now stands at 4-3-2 in favor of the Nor'easters.
            -Perron recorded the first two-goal game of his collegiate career this evening, and his second goal with 9:05 remaining in regulation knotted the score at three. He now has nine points in his last eight games (7-2-9) and 17 points (9-8-17) on the season.
            -Fraser is now tied for third in the CCC in goals by a defenseman with four. The Grafton, Mass. native now has four points (1-3-4) in his last four outings.
