Virgili also added two assists as the Bison (10-11-2, 7-7-2 CCC) swept the season series from the Hawks (5-17-1, 2-13-1 CCC). In the process, they moved within one point of fourth place in the conference standings and will enter the final weekend of the regular season with the opportunity to secure a home playoff game.

Graduate student J.B. Baker dished out three assists and climbed to within one point of 10th place on the all-time scoring list with 115 career points. Senior Vincent Crivello picked up a goal and an assist while senior David Chevrier and sophomore Justin Perron also found the back of the net for Nichols.

Senior Trey McMillen scored a pair of goals for Becker while classmate Cody Foster turned aside 47 shots. Nichols sophomore netminder Matt Efros recorded 13 saves to earn his seventh win of the season.

Three things you need to know…
-This evening's contest marked the 34th all-time meeting between Nichols College and Becker College. The Bison have won the last five meetings and are 11-1-1 in the last 13 against their rivals from Worcester. They now lead the series, 22-10-2.
-Nichols has now earned at least one point in 11 consecutive outings (9-0-2) – the most since ripping off an 11-game unbeaten streak during the 2014-15 campaign (10-0-1).
-Nichols sophomore Curtis Carlson was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for contact to the head late in the first period. The Hawks scored twice with the man advantage and briefly held a 3-2 lead.

Quote
"I'm thrilled for our seniors. It was their night and they deserved this. Some games are pretty and some are greasy. This was a greasy one but we found a way." -Nichols head coach Parker Burgess
