The Nichols College women's soccer team defeated Rivier 2-0 in non-conference action Wednesday night at Joanne Merrill Field in Nashua, New Hampshire.

The Bison (8-1-0) picked up there seventh straight victory over the Raiders (2-3-2) while also earning there sixth shutout of the year. Nichols struck in the 40th minute with a goal from graduate student Meghan Dunn, her team leading seventh of the season. Dunn's goal was assisted by freshman Niah Samboy, her second of the year.

Junior Abby Bassett netted her second goal of the season in the 70th minute to give the Bison a two-goal lead. Sophomore Olivia Marcantonio made four saves in the match while earning her sixth clean sheet of the season.

-The Bison's seven game win streak is tied for the third longest win streak in program history.
-Marcantonio's six shutouts this season places her in a tied for the second-most clean sheets in a season in program history.
-The Bison have now won eight games in a season for the first time since 2010.
