The Nichols College women's tennis team defeated Salve Regina 9-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Tuesday afternoon on the Robinson Tennis Courts in Dudley, Massachusetts.
The Bison (6-1, 4-0 CCC) just came off a week where they went 3-0 and played in a tournament, but the Bison kept the momentum going as they started the match against the Seahawks (1-4, 1-3 CCC) hot sweeping all three doubles spots. Sophomore and senior duo,
Kara Stankewitz and
Lindsey Kaplan took an 8-0 victory at the No. 3 doubles spot while seniors
Megan Nathanson and
Rachel McDonald also picked up the 8-0 sweep at the No. 2 doubles.
Nichols then went on to take all six singles matches, including a shutout performance from senior
Isabelle Leonardi at the No. 6 singles spot. Stankewitz, Kaplan, Nathanson, Leonardi and senior
Amarie Settiwongse all picked up multiple wins as the Bison cruised to victory.
