The Nichols College women's tennis team defeated Wentworth 9-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action Wednesday afternoon on the Robinson Tennis Courts in Dudley, Massachusetts.
The Bison (3-1, 2-0 CCC) got off to a hot start, sweeping all three doubles matches with a score of 8-0 highlighted by the dup pairing of seniors
Amarie Settiwongse and
Isabelle Leonardi who won 8-0 at the No. 1 doubles spot. Reigning CCC Player of the Week
Rachel McDonald and partner
Megan Nathanson also won in doubles play at the No. 2 spot. Nathanson also picked up a win in singles play with an 6-0, 6-0 victory at the No. 4 singles spot.
Nichols junior
Amanda Costa picked up her first CCC win of the year with an 6-0, 6-2 victory over CiCi Deakin at the No. 6 singles spot. Sophomore
Victoria Lussier also got involved in the action picking up her first victory of the season with an 6-1, 6-0 win at the No. 5 singles spot.

-The Bison swept the Leopards in five of the nine matches today
-Nichols has now won 31 straight CCC matches dating back to 2016.
-With today's singles win, Settiwongse now has 56 career singles wins which is good for second-most all-time in program history. Lindsay Benoit holds the current record with 60 singles wins.
