Graduate student Meghan Dunn scored two goals as the Nichols College women's soccer team defeated Dean College 2-1 in a non-conference match in Franklin, Massachusetts.

The Bison (4-1-0) got on the board right away after Dunn scored her third goal of the season in just the 7th minute of play. The Bulldogs (0-4-0) however, tied it up at a goal apiece in the 19th minute thanks to Miranda Seacord scoring her second of the season. The game remained tied at halftime, with the help of reigning Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defense Player of the Week sophomore Olivia Marcantonio making 3 saves in the first half.

Nichols was able to break the 1-1 tie in the 81st minute when once again Dunn found the back of the net, her fourth of the season and second of the game. Marcantonio finished the game with five saves as the Bison improved to 4-1 on the season.

-This is the best start to the season the team has had since 2010, when the team went 8-2 to start the year.
-The Bison outshot the Bulldogs 22-11 in the match.
-Today's match marked the first all-time meeting between the two programs.
