The Nichols College women's tennis team defeated Worcester State 9-0 in non-conference action Sunday afternoon in Dudley, Massachusetts.

The Bison (1-0) quickly jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles actions highlighted by 8-1 victories at the No. 2 and three doubles spots. Reigning Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the year and senior Amarie Settiwongse went 2-0 on the day with wins at the No. 1 doubles spot and No. singles spot. Senior Rachel McDonald also picked up two wins on the day with an 8-1 victory at the No. 2 doubles and an 6-0, 6-1 victory at the No. 3 singles spot.
