The Nichols College baseball team was eliminated from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) tournament by Salve Regina, 4-3 Saturday afternoon at Trelease Park in Springfield, Massachusetts.
The Bison (21-20, 6-8 CCC) got on the board first with an RBI single by freshman
Kyle Desjardins and a straight steal of home by senior
Joe Assenza. The Seahawks (23-15, 8-6 CCC) would tie it up in the bottom of third, but the Bison would reclaim the lead in the sixth with an Assenza bases loaded walk.
Freshman
Brendan Duffy started the game for Nichols, going 6.2 innings in which he gave up three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out six. Junior
Brodie Altiere would get the loss after giving up one unearned run on two hits and a walk while striking out one through 1.1 innings.

He leaves the program No. 1 in games played (152), No. 2 in at bats (558), No. 7 in runs (100), No. 7 in hits (153), No. 5 in singles (114), No. 10 in doubles (27), No. 9 in triples (27), Mo. 9 in hit by pitches (12), No. 2 in sacrifice hits (15), and No. 5 in sacrifice flies (7).
