Bison drop first match in California

Recap
The Nichols College men's tennis team opened up their California trip with a 7-2 loss against Salisbury Sunday afternoon in Northridge, California.
 
Nichols (3-4) picked up their two wins at the No. 2 singles and No. 4 singles. Junior Brandon Howard went to a third set against Ian siew, winning 7-5, 4-6, 10-3.  Senior Sebastian Penaloza collected the Bison's second win of the match with a score of 6-4, 6-1 against Stefan Hein.
 
Salisbury (6-3) opened up the scoring by sweeping Nichols in doubles play before defeating the Bison in four of the six singles matches to collect their sixth win of the season.
 
Three things you need to know…
-Nichols went to third set once in the match.
-The No. 1 doubles for Salisbury is ranked 14/4 in the country.
-This was the first ever meeting between the two programs.
