The Nichols College men's lacrosse team defeated Birmingham-Southern 12-8 Sunday afternoon in a non-conference game at GSJ Memorial Stadium in Macon, Georgia.
 
Five Bison collected multiple goals in the win led by a four-point effort from senior Casey Campanale who collected two goals and two assists in the win. Classmate Jack Campanale and freshman Hunter Ferreira each collected three points apiece. Senior goalie Brian McKinley collected 19 saves to help propel the Bison to the victory.
 
Birmingham-Southern (5-4) were led by Carter McAplin who collected five points on two goals and three assists. Three other student-athletes recorded multiple goals.
 
Three things you need to know…
-The Bison have now started the season 4-1 for the third straight year.
-McKinley improved to 3-0 on the week, while recording 50 saves.
-This was the first ever meeting between the two programs.
